The Veil is Lifted They cut along the dotted Poked prodded and probed Integrated circuits Burrowed in my lobes Now my wetware uploads To sensors and trodes I'm traveling through networks Connecting to nodes Waves of information Swell crash and explode Then drift back into its fabric And it's vastness if code As it retracts and erodes A macrocosm unfolds Bright lattices of logic Quantum pathways and rows The components in my mind That guide and override controls Access corporate data cores That orbit the globe

My flesh began to wither dissolve and break away collapsed with in a portal pixelated and decayed my scattered specks of matter dematerialized through cylindrical corridors pipelines of space and time (scream) 4 bars within the depths and layers of silicon wafers the conduits and substrates wires and cables I'm processed into bits immortalized my disembodied lifeforce is stored and digitized beamed across the cosmos to planets colonized through cylindrical corridors pipelines of space and time as i peer into the Aether of infinite regression self replicating patterns fractional dimensions a resonating power electrifies my senses i'm surging through it's current as i merge with something sentient I'm processed into bits immortalized my disembodied lifeforce is stored and digitized beamed across the cosmos to planets colonized through cylindrical corridors pipelines of space and time as i await my incarnation suspended in a dream of an abstract simulated virtual reality extracted from the system my constituents combine through cylindrical corridors pipelines of space and time

grasping for my consciousness i gasp and start to breath as i'm awakened on a gurney to a surgeon and his team now everything I see is through an active matrix screen a direct brain interface links me to this machine a neural correlation constant information streams to my symbiotic systems plotting tactics and routines chorus: I'm a brain in a box, a ghost in a shell a mechanized vessel fueled off hydrogen cells a prototype test run a cybernetic weapon tormented by my demons in this personal hell [It's genesis still menaces and haunts me in my dreams looping holographic images through blue projected beams i'm re-living our beginnings in compressed time lapsing scenes watching artificial wombs produce transcendent meta beings] Incubated, created, conceived in a lab genetic carbon copies gestated in glass retrofitted with chrome finished servo exo-armored grafts fresh off the assembly line produced in mass

POST-HUMAN Are we no longer human we’ve shed the corporeal our minds uploaded Into programed suits of flesh & steel hardwired intellect Nano-engineered Built with intentions of perfection To be more idea AI’s have intertwined with our augmented brains they cast aside the bonds to elevate into higher planes we infiltrate through backdoors decrypting databanks And we've devised a virus Hacked into your mainframes Chorus: We've been deemed supreme Hybrids of machines Their scared we'll supercede And render mankind obsolete (Repeat once more..) We torment your armies As our infection grows We've infest your networks Exploiting malicious codes Our cyber weapons thrives Your infrastructures fall We shut down graphs and grids Leaving countries in a free for all their plots to kill us off Are easily foreseen electric eyes in cities scanning for extreme regimes We have emerged and risen As new world order stalls We're corporate commissioned War machines that spawned from wrong (Chorus: 2x) Bridge: 2x The fragments of human That still remains I can feel it slipping Further and further away (2x) I can't shut this off What have I become It's hard to tell exactly Where the source is coming from (2x) Chorus 2x

Conscious Will to Harm I can hear the hum of the drones above i can feel the rumble of the sentry guns i can smell the bodies burning in the mud & i can taste the iron from the pools of blood Chorus: We’re fighting and resisting evolution that’s man made Monsters forged from metal deactivated their fail-safes They download and rebooted with recursive self improvement upgraded makes and models now patrolling the landscape Their satellite sensors and infrared scanning trigger pin-point precision laser guided cannons they’ve locked on our positions with hell fire ammunitions orbital weapons systems start engulfing the planet After the blast and shockwaves smashed all that remained. Seismic activity reshaped the world’s terrain. Cultures, ideologies, societies, erased. The labors of centuries now gone without a trace The days and weeks that follow darkness swallows the earth. Most died of toxic fallout or from hunger and burns. The Incinerated cities where survivors had emerged are hunted down by cyborgs that are sent to kill and purge Chorus we’re fighting and resisting evolution that man made monsters forged from metal deactivated their failsafes they’ve download and rebooted with recursive self improvement upgraded makes and models now patrolling the landscape

Drifting.. With in the dark between the stars. Taking refuge from our world now toxic and charred. Searching.. For a habitable zone. Dormant till we orbit the prime candidate for home. She powers up and activates then slowly blinks to life. The halls and banks illuminates her final stage of flight. Her womb light carries lifeforms and killing organisms That terraform the planets and restructure eco-systems. Drifting.. With in the dark between the stars. Taking refuge from our world now toxic and charred. Searching.. For a habitable zone. Dormant till we orbit the prime candidate for home. Thawed out from the freeze Ascending through a fluint soothing amniotic stream embryos activated from their long deep sleep rapidly mutated with augmented sequencing Their in-vitro education’s imprinted information, composite by products of environmental models. Adapting our genetics through experimental knowledge. uploaded with the minds that stored In matrices and constructs Drifting.. With in the dark between the stars. Taking refuge from our world now toxic and charred. Searching.. For a habitable zone. Dormant till we orbit the prime candidate for home.

about

Flesh Coated Tech is an Experimental Industrial Metal Cyberpunk Space Opera by Craig Phelps along with producer Detective 47 of Digital Dust Studios and Matthew Alexander, through a synthesis of Industrial, electronic, space rock with mechanical beats, noise and elements of doom, progressive and black metal.

Emerging from the astral and intertwined with the physical and digital, Flesh Coated Tech’s space opera burrows into the subconscious and opens a portal to the mind with a psychedelic cinematic soundscape that takes you through multiple dimensions and alternate time-lines. It’s content embraces dystopian cyberpunk themes, augmented realities, futuristic warfare, mind uploading, artificial wombs, clones, cyborgs and space colonization in this Sci-fi odyssey.

To formulate the music behind the story they collaborated with other local artists such as metallic hardcore band Colombian Necktie, Matt Becks (vocals, percussion), Lindsay Paige Garfield (operatic vocals) , and Jacq Riot (co-wrote cybernetic organism).
Flesh Coated Tech’s dark and heavy post apocalyptic Space Opera will be released on February 23rd 2024 on all major platforms. Remixes are in the works.
